What about the game?

I’ll be playing A-Train HX on the Microsoft Xbox 360, this is the first time on this game on the 6th generation console, formerly I have played it on the Commodore Amiga back in the early 90’s, this brings a 3D update to the former 2D version on the Amiga.

This game could be described as a Train Sim, train company builder or management sim, I think it has appeal for a certain type of player.

I really liked games like Sim City and A-Train HX sounds like a game I’d like to my teeth into, but it is certainly a game that requires more than just a few minutes to learn. It seems to lack a tutorial or a blank map so the learning curve is going to be steep for a new comer. As far as I know train sims are thin on the ground for the era of the Xbox 360 and they could well be a reason for that.

That said, I will be returning to A Train in the future when I have more time spare to learn the ropes!
