What about the game?

The First time I encountered the Need for Speed series was in 1994 on my Panasonic 3DO, a console that cost me £399 and ended up being overshadowed by the PS1 in 1995. I’ve played countless hours of this game back in 1990’s. Myself and at friend work used to write down our top scores and challenge each other on a particular route, those were the days before phones and the internet to use as a score board!

This game in 1994 was my staple racing game, the fact that it had JDM icons like the RX7, Honda NSX and the Legendary Toyota Supra made me want to own a JDM car!

The game hasn’t aged particularly well and the PS1 version definitely runs smother but lost some panache in its arcade type conversion, that said its a game that I can still play today and re-visit some of that 90’s 3D nostalgia.
